What is a cynotype? A cyanotype is photographic blue printing process. It was most popular in engineering circles well into the 20th century. The well known term for a Cyanotype would be called "Blue Print".
Anna Atkins Anna Atkins was a English botanist and photographer, who was born 16th March, 1799 and died on 9th June, 1871. I looked at some photographers who made cyanotypes. I quite liked Anna Atkins photographs, so decided to look more into her work.
How do I make a Cyanotype? Making a cyanotype is very simple, all you need is watercolor paper, and few of objects. These following steps will basically show you how to make your very own! Step 1: You would have to place your objects, in certain area's of the watercolor paper, making sure that they all fit inside of the paper. Steap 2: After you are satisfied with where you have placed the objects, you would then let the whole thing to be exposed to the sun light for around 10 minutes. Step 3: As soon as the 10 minutes has been finished, you would have to then carefully remove the objects off the paper, placing them anywhere else besides the paper, of course. Step 4:
Anna Atkin's Cyanotypes: This is a cyanotype made by Anna Atkins, and it's probably my favourite one so far. If you look at this image, then you could see that there are one than one object in it. It looks creative but, it's also quite hard to tell what the object really is?
