Tate Modern Experience
On 24th February we went to the Tate Modern Gallery, this was a fun and exciting experience personally for me because, it let us be open and free. On our way there and back we were allowed to take photographs, this was exciting. When we got to the gallery, we had a look around some of the exhibitions, some of the work kind of motived me to go deeper into street photography, and have the confidence in taking more photographs of people. After lunch, we all had a look at more of the work there, some of these work were paintings or sculptures, they were really weird looking and made me think why did the painter paint something like that or why did he sculpt something like that? On our way back, we took some more photographs, this time I was more confident about going up to people and taking pictures of them. I managed to successfully take around three photographs of people closed up or them looking into the camera, although one man got mad at me for taking pictures of him, it was sort of fun. It made me feel like I was really taking going out there and taking the risks in street photography. Overall, this was a fun experience and I got to learn loads of different things about street photography, I think if we go out again I will be able to take more photographs of people closed up and in front of them!
I find this image quite interesting, the way the sunlight is proper being shown here. By the sunlight shining directly onto the man we could get the feeling that he is special or of an upper importance. I like that the image is in black and white because it makes the image just that bit more questioning. Obviously the main focus is the man and I like that there is another man in the background. If you look towards the left of the photo you can see a shadow on the ground, this could -because you can not see the man in whom the shadow belongs to- make you feel a little bit creeped out.
This image is also one of my favourites, it's quite dark which adds a little frighting feeling to it. The contrast of the photograph is quite high, and the depth of field is also quite wide.
This photograph was taken from the balcony of the Tate Modern Gallery, by using the black and white effect, it adds an amazing affect on the whole image.

This is also one of my favourite photographs because, I quite like how Jacob is looking directly at the camera. I also quite like the background.
I also like this image because i like the composition of the main subject. I like that the man goes a little off to the left instead of him being right into the middle. If i had the chance to take this image again, i would change what is in focus and what isn't, first of all if i took the image at exactly the same angle, i would make the people in the background in focus and secondly i would make the man blurry, i would also like to keep the image in black and white as it creates a busy mood and a busy feeling.
